Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 1970s. Lennox lived on the student allowance, and relied off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. Lennox was able to make a change in her profession following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience in comparison with others Royal Academy students. Lennox performed flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. However, she left before her band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. Her main role was as the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. This is where she first met Dave Stewart with whom she would form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her debut solo album Diva. The album was released in the year 1992. The album was hugely successful both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out on October 31, 2014. This C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's most loved blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. This E.P. She released her first solo album, which was released in conjunction with her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled "Now I'll Let You Go."
