Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5, 1956, on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her mother was at home as a mother. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. At a young stage of life, McCormick enjoyed singing and dance and would often present puppet shows to youngsters in the area. McCormick won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to be a part of the show business. McCormick got her first big task when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It Up And It's Breaks by the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen out of a crowd of over 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three towheaded girls in the upcoming TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick said in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost ended her relationship in the fifth season in the presence of Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. She was 16 years old at the time and he was just 19. This would have occurred according to her. The timing for our marriage wasn't right.
